Ako Mismo!

Written by Mike Gallego

It is funny that most of the people who went there were only up to the dog tags and not really to rally for a change in our country. Littering, swearing, etc. were so widespread during the event. 40,000 people present? If not for the dog tag, for the concert? We Filipinos are too eager to make a change, yet we are too lazy and selfish to do so.

DOG TAG YOU WANT? - NO THANKS, I'M NOT A DOG.

The best place to start change is within each one of us; the essence of the advocacy. AKO MISMO actually reminds us that we can; there is hope for change and progress in our country.

Thank you to Mr. Juan Step for the inspiration to write.

You're absolutely right about this! Some didn't even care to enter the venue.. they just left after buying the dog tag...

its the harsh reality.. they wear the dogtags not as proof that you are one with the advocacy of change but because u wanna look "astig".. sna the organizers of AKO MISMO reiterates this to the masses kc sayang angganda ng aim ng group

Yeah. Many people who went there only bought a dog tag and then straightly went to High Street and Market! Market! Before the event, I already knew that that's what gonna happen. Most of them just wanted to be in the latest trend. But then, I was glad enough to see many people falling in line for the charities. That tells us that there are also many people who care for our country.

It's not all about the dog tags, it's not all about the walls of commitments, yet it's all about what they represent - CHANGE in oneself.

AKO MISMO, i think, is the best way to encourage every youth to seek for change. They can make good advertisements, they can make good stuff, and they can make good events such as this. For some, it's only a joke. However in the end, hopefully they will realize the true essence of it.

I will support AKO MISMO all the way!
